Genus Medical Fertility was founded by Dr Karolina to not only make a positive impact on her patients’ reproductive health, but also to drive innovation and development in reproductive health and fertility as a whole. 

Dr Karolina is a highly distinguished medical professional, who has made significant contributions to the field of reproductive medicine. With a background in clinical practice and research, her career is dedicated to leading reproductive medicine that is shaped around every person and every family. 

Her pioneering research has opened the potential for the development of new medicines in follicle growth and ovulation, non-hormonal contraception and new therapies in menopausal hot flushes. Dr Karolina’s work has contributed to the University of Edinburgh receiving The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education award for innovations in women’s health. 

After working as a consultant in Leeds private and NHS fertility sector, Dr Karolina has relocated back to Edinburgh, home for both her professional and family life. 

Dr Karolina is a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology at NHS Lothian, where she is also a fertility preservation lead and fertility lead at EXPPECT endometriosis. She sees her private patients from her Genus base at the Dermal Clinic Edinburgh.
